Celebrating Soulive's 21st year .. Never before heard! 'Soulive 1999 - Gettin Down At Hampshire College' is a live album recorded May 2nd 1999. It was unearthed in 2020 and mixed / mastered in 2020 by Soulive's Alan Evans.
The album capture an incredible performance, just 2 months after the reccording of their classicc first album Get Down. What a night that was, with an audience including friends, family, Yusef Lateef and members of Lettuce.
The album includes blistering extended renditions of Soulive classic tracks - Steppin', Doin' Something, Azucar and Turn It Out.
Not only are the performances amazing but so too is the sound quality, it sounds fabulous. Lovingly mixed and mastered from the original tapes by Alan Evans. the album captures a special night.
Soulive’s ‘Gettin Down - Live At Hampshire College' will be released as a limited edition heavyweight Vinyl release.

In 1999 Soulive erupted onto the Soul jazz / funk scene and influenced a new generation of bands with their explosive original sound that fused organ trio groove jazz with a hip hop feel (note: or ‘beats’). Their debut rreleasae ‘Get Down’ became a modern day classic and it kickstarted an acclaimed career of touring and recording that has lasted 20+ years. In that time Soulive (Alan Evans, Neal Evans, Eric Krasno) have toured the world selling out headline shows, opening for the likes of The Rolling Stones and collaborating with artists such as Chaka Khan and The Dave Matthews band. Fifteen albums later they are still going strong !
